Ultra Intelligence & Communications names Jon Rucker as President and CEO

AUSTIN, TX—November 21, 2022—After an extensive search, Ultra Intelligence & Communications’ Board of Directors has officially announced that Jon Rucker will take up the mantel of president and chief executive officer. Dan Verwiel, who has been acting as the company’s interim CEO, will return to his position as an advisor to Ultra.

Prior to joining Ultra I&C, Rucker was senior vice president of SAIC’s Army Business Unit within the Defense and Civilian Sector. In this position, Jon set the strategic direction and oversaw the execution of all programs that support Army research and development centers, commands, program executive offices, and other customer organizations. He led over 3,500 employees worldwide and was responsible for supporting a wide range of customers across the company’s Army portfolio. Jon has also held leadership roles within CACI and Lockheed Martin.
